It can lift up the most weary person.
A smile. A hug. A wave – even if you don’t know them. A letter. A text. An unexpected gift.
All of these bring a lift to the heart. A bounce to the step. A lightness to the load that we all carry every single day.
Jesus give us these – every day.
Do I see them? Do I?
“Stay awake” was in my devotional today. Stay alert. Be ready. Always be watching for opportunities to show Jesus to someone else.
Yesterday, a customer came in and said no to an appointment because she would be burying her husband of 53 years. I gave her my condolences and a hug. It was all I had to give. But we shared the hope of all who believe in Jesus. She knew she would see him again someday. I saw that light in her eyes when that was mentioned. She misses him now. But someday they will be reunited. And it will be so glorious because Jesus will see them face to face.
